HP has officially launched its latest AI-driven innovation: the HP OmniBook Ultra laptop, alongside two new Omni all-in-one desktop models.
The HP OmniBook Ultra laptop is powered by Advanced Micro Devices’ AI 300 Series processors, featuring 12 cores, an AMD Ryzen AI GPU, and AMD Radeon graphics. This introduction is a key part of HP's commitment to make AI accessible for businesses and individuals, enabling transformative experiences across its PCs, software, and partner networks.
Unlocking AI for Everyone
HP aims to equip everyone—corporate knowledge workers, freelancers, students, healthcare professionals, and retail employees—with the power of AI. Users will benefit from real-time translation in 40 languages, personalized communication coaching, and advanced video creation capabilities.
“AI will be the most significant driver of change in the next decade, leading to innovation fueled by actionable insights,” said Alex Cho, president of Personal Systems at HP. “With solutions like our HP AI creation center and the new HP OmniBook Ultra, we are making AI a reality for organizations and individuals alike.”
Transforming Business Operations with AI
The HP OmniBook Ultra 14 starts at $1,500. Recent studies indicate that only 33% of data scientists are satisfied with their current AI tools, and 81% lack confidence in deploying these tools—highlighting the urgent need for effective AI solutions.
Earlier this year, at HP’s 2024 Amplify Partner Conference with Nvidia, HP announced enhancements to the Z by HP AI Studio, designed for quicker and safer deployment of AI applications. This platform allows data scientists to build trustworthy models by integrating Galileo technology within the studio, helping detect biases and inaccuracies.
As a unique manufacturer, HP is the only company to provide an AI platform for workstations with built-in trust for large language model development. Yash Sheth, COO at Galileo, emphasized the importance of security in AI projects, stating, “Allowing businesses to leverage their proprietary data without compromising security is critical for AI development.”
Innovative Features of the HP OmniBook Ultra
The HP OmniBook Ultra is marketed as a versatile tool for users at the forefront of the AI revolution. Designed for enhanced productivity, it features the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor with integrated Radeon 800M graphics and a powerful NPU achieving 55 TOPS performance, boasting up to 21 hours of battery life.
The HP AI Companion further enhances productivity by integrating AI tools directly into the device. Key collaboration features include an AI-enabled 9 MP camera, Windows Studio Effects, and robust security measures offered by Wolf Security, which protects against cyber threats while ensuring privacy and productivity.
The HP OmniBook Ultra will soon receive a free update to Microsoft Copilot+ for improved user experiences. Built with sustainability in mind, up to 90% of the laptop is crafted from recycled metals, alongside 5% ocean-bound plastics.
AI-Enhanced OmniStudio X All-in-One Desktops
HP is also introducing AI capabilities in its OmniStudio X All-in-One desktops, tailored for both creative professionals and entertainment enthusiasts. Available in 27- and 31.5-inch models, these sleek PCs utilize Intel Core Ultra 7 processors and optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPUs for optimized workflow performance, particularly in photo and video editing.
The OmniStudio X features customizable productivity options with an adjustable stand, USB Type-C connections for seamless device integration, and AI wellness features that promote healthier work habits. The 4K screen, enhanced audio capabilities, and IMAX Enhanced certification position the HP OmniStudio X as a top-tier all-in-one solution.
Starting at $1,250, the OmniStudio X incorporates 25% recycled metals and 35% post-consumer recycled plastics, achieving EPEAT Gold with Climate+ and Energy Star certifications.
HP is actively collaborating with software developers to introduce powerful AI solutions, enriching the capabilities of HP AI Companion through partnerships with Beautiful.ai, Polymer, and Luminar Neo.
