Equipped with Skyrocket 8400-Ultra, Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 4 Is Now Available for Purchase

Back in late December last year, MediaTek released the Dimensity 8400 chip. 2025 has just begun and the first Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 4 powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8400 chip came out.
A brief introduction to Dimensity 8400
In terms of hardware configuration, Dimensity 8400 is equipped with a high-performance octa-core Arm Cortex-A725 CPU clocked at up to 3.25 GHz.With the all-big-core architecture design, it achieves a significant 41% increase in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, Dimensity 8300, while reducing peak power consumption by 44%.
In terms of AI performance, the Dimensity 8400 is equipped with an eighth-generation NPU 880, which delivers a 54% increase in performance over its predecessor; it supports the Dimensity AI Intelligent Embodiment Engine, which jointly develops end-side model usage scenarios for multiple applications.
In terms of gaming performance, Dimensity 8400 adopts the high-performance Arm Mali-G720 GPU; in terms of image video, Dimensity 8400 is equipped with MediaTek's Imagiq 1080 Image Signal Processor (ISP), which is a great performer.
Redmi Turbo 4 and Dimensity 8400-Ultra
Redmi has been a major partner since MediaTek released its first Tenguet product in 2019. Once Redmi customized the chips, they were renamed Tenguet 8400-Ultra.
The Turbo 4 also comes with the largest battery in Xiaomi's handset history-a 6,550 mAh silicon-carbon cell that supports 90W wired fast charging.
The Turbo 4 comes with a 6.76-inch LTPS OLED display with a resolution of 1220p and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel has a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The front camera is a 20 MP (OV20B) set in a perforated cutout with an optical under-screen fingerprint scanner.
The back of the device features a two-tone design glass back panel with two camera sensors. The main camera is a 50 MP camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor (1/1.95") and supports optical stabilization. The second lens is an 8 MP ultra wide-angle lens.
In terms of software, the Turbo 4 runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. The device is also dust and water resistant with IP66/68/69 rating and comes with an infrared port.
The Redmi Turbo 4 is available in Black, White and Aquamarine colors. the 12/256GB variant is priced at RMB 1,999, while the top-of-the-line 16/512GB variant is priced at RMB 2,499.
