At the "AI Empowerment: Co-creating the Future" event held yesterday, officials announced that Luohu District plans to launch 49 innovative artificial intelligence application scenarios and is inviting businesses from across the region to participate. These initiatives will span 19 key sectors, including urban governance, healthcare, and industrial development. The first batch of 11 projects, which includes the Smart Community Management Platform and the Smart Livelihood Management Platform (Phase II), is set to enter the design and bidding stages soon.
As a central district in a megacity, Luohu boasts diverse application scenarios in fields like governance, education, healthcare, culture, tourism, and finance. The district has established a solid foundation for development through its smart city initiatives and pioneering reforms in education and healthcare, making it well-suited to leverage advanced AI models for deep applications.
According to Zeng Dehuai, Director of the Luohu District Bureau of Government Affairs and Data Management, extensive research has been conducted to identify application needs in urban governance, public services, and industrial development. This has resulted in a comprehensive list of "AI+" model application scenarios covering 49 innovative applications across various sectors. The first 11 projects will focus heavily on large AI models, aiming to attract businesses that operate in the application layer to create a collaborative ecosystem.
To foster AI development, Luohu is establishing the Qingshuihe AI Cluster and has introduced a support policy offering up to 10 million for computing power application projects. The district is also launching several innovation hubs, such as the "Puyue China - Greater Bay Area Innovation Center," to promote a diverse supply of "quality space + intelligent computing power + industrial funds."
Recently, Luohu has intensified its efforts in supporting AI innovation, providing strong backing for the growth of AI enterprises through policy initiatives and platform support. Over the next three years, the district plans to invest up to 200 million in related support.
In its commitment to empowering traditional industries with AI, the "Luohu District Action Plan for Promoting AI Development" outlines rewards of up to 1 million for qualifying AI demonstration projects. To address the challenges faced by AI businesses in navigating market opportunities, policies, and funding, Luohu has established an integrated platform that combines online "full-process enterprise services + AI supply and demand matching" with offline "AI innovation centers + specialized showcases." This approach provides a sustainable development environment driven by innovation, collaborative construction, and robust support.
Focusing on smart governance, smart living, and smart production, the event also introduced six project scenarios: "AI + Community Governance," "AI + Low-altitude Management," "AI + Educational Services," "AI + Healthcare Services," "AI + Financial Services," and "AI + Gold and Jewelry." Businesses are invited to join in promoting the comprehensive development of Luohu's AI industry, aiming to build a more innovative and dynamic industrial ecosystem.
