Recently, Stanford University and the esteemed academic publisher Elsevier released the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists for 2024. Among those recognized are four scholars—Sun Changyin, Anders Lindquist, Song Yongduan, and Mu Chaoxu—who made it to the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings (1930-2024)." Additionally, five scholars—Su Yansen, Song Jun, Wang Xiao, Li Chenglong, and Chen Xiangcheng—were included in the "Annual Scientific Impact Rankings."

This evaluation was based on data from the Scopus database, employing six core metrics: total citations, the Hirsch index (H-index), the Schreiber index (Hm-index) adjusted for co-authors, as well as citation counts for single authors, first authors, and corresponding authors. The "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings" highlights a scholar's long-term contributions and impact in their field throughout their career, while the "Annual Scientific Impact Rankings" focuses on the research achievements and influence of scholars within the current year.
