In a compelling call to action, Turing Award winners Yoshua Bengio, Geoffrey Hinton, and Andrew Yao, along with AI visionary Stuart Russell and 20 other specialists, have advocated that at least one-third of AI research and development budgets should be directed toward safety measures.
