Amazon has just introduced the next generation of Echo Frames, its innovative Alexa-powered glasses, now priced at $269.99. These updated Echo Frames are 15% slimmer and offer up to six hours of usage on a single charge, whether you're streaming media or chatting. A notable upgrade is the "multipoint" pairing capability, enabling users to connect the frames to several audio devices simultaneously without needing to pull out their phones.
The company claims to have "completely redesigned" the audio experience within the Frames, resulting in “more balanced sound, enhanced audio clarity, and reduced distortion.” Dave Limp, Amazon's Senior Vice President of Devices and Services, shared during a press event at Amazon's HQ2 in Arlington, Virginia, that these new Frames incorporate a novel open-ear audio architecture, which channels more sound directly to your ears. Additionally, it features a custom-built speech processing technology to enhance Alexa’s wake word recognition, ensuring you'll be heard even in bustling or windy environments.
Available in seven stylish designs, the new Echo Frames also come with prescription-ready options.
