Anomaly has successfully raised $1.45 million for its AI-driven Layer 3 Web3 gaming platform, which is already making waves among Telegram users with its innovative “play-to-airdrop” mechanism.
The latest funding round values Anomaly at $11.4 million post-money and was led by Decasonic, with participation from Shima Capital, Round 13, Triptyq VC, BreakOrbit VC, Inferno Labs, and several angel investors. Notably, Zeneca, founder of The 333 Club and a prominent figure in Web3, has also made a strategic investment in the company.
Anomaly's platform is set to transform the Web3 gaming environment by seamlessly integrating with Telegram to provide accessible mini-games that require no prior cryptocurrency knowledge. This inclusive approach democratizes gaming while offering airdrops and a reliable point system that continually rewards users.
CEO Long Do stated, “Legacy Web3 gaming platforms create hurdles for both developers and players, demanding technical skills for smooth gameplay. At Anomaly, we strive to engage our community with immersive social gaming experiences through easily playable mini-games that feature simple reward systems.”
Anomaly stands out with its AI-powered software development kit (SDK), which allows rapid creation and deployment of mini-games across social media platforms such as Telegram and Discord. Key AI features include player-model training, matchmaking, automated quest creation, and in-game asset generation, all designed to enhance the gaming experience.
The company utilizes Arbitrum’s Orbit for a lightning-fast user experience, complemented by Gelato’s leading Web3 services for automated gameplay. This cutting-edge approach creates a zero-gas fee environment while ensuring fair play through on-chain randomness.
Anomaly has also formed key partnerships with Socket Protocol and Blockscout, integrating utilities like native account abstraction and chain abstraction into its offerings.
Alex Wettermann, head of gaming at Shima Capital, remarked, “Anomaly is an AI-gaming Layer 3 app chain that integrates custom AI engine-built mini-games directly into platforms like Telegram. Our investment represents our belief in the potential of onboarding Telegram users as Web3 gamers and node operators while leveraging the gamification of nodes.”
Under Long’s direction, Anomaly has secured partnerships with renowned brands like Atari, marking a strategic expansion. The company is set to launch a node sale and an ecosystem token later this year, further solidifying its role in the Web3 gaming landscape.
Paul Hsu, Founder & CEO of Decasonic, expressed excitement about leading this financing round: “Anomaly is pioneering an AI-powered socialFi Layer 3 blockchain, offering developers a top-tier solution for Web3 gaming production and user growth. With innovative gameplay standards and a decentralized infrastructure, Anomaly is reshaping how games are developed and experienced worldwide.”
