"Boost Your Searches: How Google Collections Helps You Save and Organize Results"

If you've ever struggled to find something you searched for on Google but didn't save, you're not alone. Google understands this frustration and is introducing a new AI-powered feature called Collections to enhance your search experience.

What is Collections?

Today, Google is launching Collections, allowing you to group similar pages you've visited in Search. This feature enables you to save these Collections for easy access in the future.

Personalized Recommendations

Google will suggest Collections based on activities like cooking, shopping, and hobbies, making it easier to track down a recipe you found last week or manage a wishlist without sifting through your browser history. Once you've saved a Collection, Google will utilize AI to recommend related websites, images, products, and searches. You can explore these suggestions by clicking the "Find More" button within a Collection.

Collaboration Features

You won’t just be able to save your findings; you can also share Collections and collaborate with others. This expands the functionality beyond solo use, promoting shared discovery and interaction.

Evolution of Search

This new feature builds on the activity cards introduced in 2018, highlighting Google's commitment to transforming how we navigate the internet. With a Pinterest-like quality, Collections aims to provide a genuinely useful experience, even as it raises questions about the extent of Google's insight into your search behavior.

Availability

Users worldwide can now share and collaborate on Collections, accessible via the Google App and on the web through the side menu. Suggested Collections and recommendations will begin rolling out today, initially available in the US.
