Cimba.AI Launches from Stealth Mode with $1.25M Pre-Seed Funding to Assist Enterprises in Developing AI Agents

OpenAI captured global attention last year with the release of GPTs, an intuitive tool for creating customized chatbots. Shortly after, the open-source AI platform Hugging Face introduced Hugging Chat Assistants, following a similar approach.

As early adopters utilize these tools, the question remains: will enterprise customers embrace them, and if so, how many?

Introducing Cimba.AI: A New Option for Enterprises

Enter Cimba.AI, a new generative AI startup founded by former Airbnb and AWS professionals. Recently emerging from stealth mode, Cimba.AI secured $1.25 million in pre-seed funding, led by Ripple Ventures, along with support from SeaChange, PackVC, and angel investors Chad Sanderson and Chris Riccomini.

Based in Seattle, Cimba.AI’s web-based platform empowers enterprises to build custom AI agents designed to assist employees with their workflows, generate insights in the form of dashboards and graphs, and streamline recurring business processes, utilizing each organization’s unique and proprietary data.

“Our goal is to help businesses create their own 'Jarvis' for larger operations, providing both insights and actionable steps,” explained Subrata (Subu) Biswas, co-founder and CEO of Cimba.AI, during a recent interview.

The name Cimba is an acronym meaning "Contextualized Insights Make Business Action."

While pricing details remain undisclosed, Biswas noted that Cimba.AI operates on a typical SaaS model, with costs dependent on the number of users.

AI-Driven Business Operations

Cimba.AI, co-founded by Biswas and Vishal Das, allows employees without technical expertise to create self-learning AI agents tailored to their organization’s knowledge base in mere minutes—vastly reducing the hours or days previously needed by skilled developers.

“We eliminate 95% of the workload that a data scientist would typically face to create their own agent,” Biswas stated.

The Cimba AI Agent builder resembles OpenAI’s GPT Builder and Hugging Face’s assistant builder, featuring text fields where users can describe desired functionalities in plain language. Users can specify data sources such as dashboards, playbooks, and databases like Snowflake and Amazon Redshift, as well as files from platforms like Salesforce and Google Drive. Currently, Cimba.AI supports numerous integrations with popular enterprise APIs.

After setting up, users can quickly generate an agent and refine its functionality as necessary. Through these AI agents, Cimba claims to facilitate understanding of complex business objectives expressed in natural language, while recommending optimized workflows.

Empowering Data Scientists and Various Teams

The tool is designed for data scientists to create on-demand AI agents for different departments, such as sales and marketing. However, anyone can experiment with the platform, although non-specialists may face challenges in refinement.

AI agents can be customized for specific teams, job functions, or individual users, with access permissions easily managed via Cimba’s web interface. For instance, a marketing team could use a custom Cimba agent to identify priority customers for outreach, providing not just answers but actionable recommendations based on the latest data.

“Upon confirmation, it can suggest next steps and even automate actions like drafting personalized marketing emails,” Biswas added.

Robust Technology Framework

Cimba.AI leverages existing foundational models from OpenAI and Anthropic’s Claude at various stages, depending on the task. To handle sensitive customer data securely, Cimba stores information in a vector database built on Pinecone, ensuring it's partitioned for each enterprise.

Moreover, Cimba's systems are adaptable, allowing for data storage in a virtual private cloud for customers requiring extra security.

Endorsements and Future Prospects

Despite being in its early stages, Cimba.AI has garnered significant endorsements and funding support. “Their approach to AI-driven business operations is not just innovative; it’s the future,” remarked Dom Lau, Partner at Ripple Ventures. Others, such as Vineeth Loganathan, Director of Data Science at ViralGains, emphasized Cimba’s ability to automate repetitive data tasks, boosting productivity.

Cimba.AI is currently in private beta, collaborating with mid to large enterprises. Its self-service platform allows non-technical users to effortlessly build AI agents customized to their business needs. With its pioneering approach, Cimba.AI aims to revolutionize how organizations leverage AI for improved operations and decision-making.
