Enterprise AI solution provider Cohere is integrating Command R+ into Hugging Face’s open-source AI chatbot, HuggingChat. Hugging Face's Chief Technology Officer, Julien Chaumond, confirmed that Cohere’s cutting-edge large language model (LLM) is optimized for fast inference on Hugging Face's infrastructure.
Launched less than a week ago, Command R+ advances its predecessor, Command R, with enhanced performance, multilingual support, and sophisticated retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities. Since its debut, Cohere has also made this LLM available on Amazon SageMaker and Microsoft Azure.
HuggingChat serves as Hugging Face’s alternative to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, capable of generating text summaries, essays, and letters. What sets HuggingChat apart is its flexibility; users can choose from various LLMs, including Mixtral 8x7B, Gemma 1.1, Nous Hermes 2, and Mistral-7B. The addition of Command R+ further enriches this selection.
This integration is pivotal as it enhances HuggingChat's ability to compete, supporting significant open-source models, including one that outperformed OpenAI’s GPT-4 in the Chatbot Arena. With its enterprise focus, Command R+ may encourage developers to leverage Hugging Face's technology for business solutions.
