Amazon has launched its AI Art feature, enabling owners of the 2023 Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Omni QLED Series TVs to craft unique, computer-generated backgrounds. This feature was showcased during Amazon’s fall 2023 hardware event, where insights were shared by Joshua Danovitz, Director of Fire TV Experience.
Currently, this feature is available only on the latest Fire TV 4K Max and Omni QLED TVs. Unfortunately, the older Fire TV Stick Lite is not compatible. For those with supported devices, using the feature is easy: simply say, “Alexa, create an image of…” or “Alexa, create a background of…” You can also use variations like “picture” or “painting.” You’ll receive an initial selection of images, which you can further refine. Amazon refers to these enhancement options as “modifiers,” offering various styles such as pixel art, oil painting, watercolor, colored pencil, and Cubist.
After selecting an image, you'll be able to view it in full-screen mode and add it to the Ambient Experience, currently exclusive to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Omni TVs. You can provide feedback by giving a thumbs up or down for each image, and all created images will be saved in your Amazon Photos account, accessible on nearly any device.
This innovative feature relies on Amazon’s Titan Image Generator. As it remains in public preview, unexpected variations may occur, but enjoy the creative possibilities!
