Alembic Unveils Groundbreaking AI System to Combat "Hallucinations"
Artificial intelligence startup Alembic has announced a revolutionary AI system designed to eliminate the false information generation, known as “hallucinations,” that hampers existing AI technologies. In an exclusive interview, Alembic co-founder and CEO Tomás Puig shared details about the new AI, set to be introduced today during a keynote presentation at the Forrester B2B Summit and again next week at the Gartner CMO Symposium in London.
Innovative Approach to Causal Relationships
According to Puig, Alembic’s breakthrough lies in its ability to identify causal relationships—not just correlations—across extensive enterprise datasets over time. “We basically immunized our GenAI from ever hallucinating,” Puig stated. “It delivers deterministic output, fundamentally discussing cause and effect.”
Addressing the Hallucination Challenge
Hallucinations have been a significant barrier to enterprise adoption of AI systems, particularly in chatbots and virtual assistants. While leading AI models produce convincing text, they often generate false or nonsensical information, complicating their deployment in critical business applications. By eliminating such hallucinations, Alembic aims to create a reliable AI solution for data analysis, forecasting, and decision support.
Alembic’s system processes data through an “observability and classifier” module along with a geometric data component, eventually feeding the results into a causal graph neural network (GNN) that generates deterministic predictions and strategic recommendations.
Technical Innovations for Enterprise Data
To achieve this, Alembic developed its own supercomputer infrastructure and novel mathematical techniques to represent enterprise data as time-aware graph neural networks. “Each instance of these interactions or levers helps us comprehend the fundamental components of your business,” Puig explained, likening these components to mini neurons within a vast graph neural network designed for causal and temporal awareness.
Causal Reasoning: The Engine of Precision
At the core of Alembic’s advancement is a unique graph neural network functioning as a causal reasoning engine. This AI framework ingests diverse data from enterprise systems—ranging from sales databases to marketing platforms—and organizes it into a complex web of nodes. This mapping captures the interconnections between events and data points over time.
“It’s almost like a 3D depiction of the enterprise,” Puig noted, emphasizing how this visualization reveals every customer interaction and its cascading effects throughout the organization.
The system not only recognizes patterns and correlations but also pinpoints causal relationships that drive business outcomes. By understanding the underlying reasons behind historical results, Alembic’s AI can confidently predict the impacts of future actions and recommend optimal interventions.

Future-Ready AI Projections
Alembic’s underlying neural network can extrapolate and create projections as new data points are integrated, simulating potential future outcomes. “When you introduce a new node, it forecasts the probable chain reaction,” Puig said, highlighting the generative capabilities that distinguish Alembic’s approach from competitors using a “mixture of experts” method.
Growing Demand Among Fortune 500 Companies
Interest in Alembic’s AI innovation has surged, with the company already in discussions with 9% of the Fortune 500 following successful private briefings and endorsements from PhD experts at Nvidia and other undisclosed major clients. “When we showcased it to Forrester and Gartner, their reactions were unprecedented. I’ve presented to 26 analysts across IT and MarComms sectors so far,” Puig shared.
A Critical Moment for Enterprise AI Adoption
Alembic launches its technology at a pivotal moment for enterprise AI, as IDC forecasts AI spending to exceed $500 billion by 2024, despite prevailing trust issues. If Alembic can deliver AI that business leaders can trust—eliminating concerns about costly or damaging hallucinations—it could significantly accelerate AI adoption across industries, including finance, marketing, and manufacturing.
With strong interest from early adopters and support from trusted analysts, Alembic is poised to disrupt the enterprise AI landscape. However, the challenge remains to prove its technology's scalability and ability to deliver tangible results for large enterprises. As the competition intensifies, Alembic’s commitment to a "hallucination-free" approach may become a decisive advantage—or a cautionary lesson highlighting the gap between theoretical advancements and practical applications.
