Google Unveils Exciting Gemini Features and Wear OS 5 Now Available for Samsung Devices

With Samsung unveiling its exciting new devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, at Unpacked 2024, Google has announced a series of innovative updates that enhance the user experience on these devices.

The tech giant is rolling out a revamped version of its Gemini app for Android, making it more compatible with foldable screens. Users can now easily interact with Gemini through overlay and split-screen interfaces. Just swipe from the corner of the screen or say “Hey Google” to activate Gemini, paving the way for a more seamless experience.

This updated app for Samsung users will also allow you to ask insightful questions about videos you’re enjoying on YouTube. These features will launch alongside the new Galaxy foldable devices in the coming months, enriching the user engagement on these platforms.

Earlier this year, during the Galaxy S24 launch event, Google introduced the “Circle to Search” feature. On Wednesday, the company announced an expansion of this functionality, now supporting symbolic math equations, barcodes, and QR code scanning. This enhanced version of “Circle to Search” will be available on additional devices later this year.

YouTube has also enhanced its multiview feature, which allows Android phone and tablet users to enjoy up to four YouTube TV streams at once. This feature will be supported on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, enabling users to combine streams of various content, such as sports, news, and weather updates, all at the same time.

Additionally, Google introduced Wear OS 5 at the Google I/O developer conference earlier this year, focusing on improved performance and battery life. Samsung announced that its Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will be equipped with the new Wear OS 5, delivering a state-of-the-art smartwatch experience.
