HP has introduced a new line of AI PCs at Microsoft’s AI Vision Event, crafted for the modern work environment and aimed at enhancing productivity and creativity.
As our work and creative processes evolve beyond traditional office spaces, HP recognizes that AI is redefining consumer and professional expectations. Over half of early tech adopters believe AI will save them time, and 72% of business leaders agree it will allow employees to focus on more important tasks. Developers are continuously releasing AI-powered software, unlocking unique experiences with next-gen AI PCs.
In response to increasing demands for flexible work and advanced technology, HP has launched two innovative devices: the HP OmniBook X AI PC and the HP EliteBook Ultra AI PC. Both laptops are built with cutting-edge ARM-based Qualcomm chips, specifically the Snapdragon X Elite processor, which features a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of performing 45 trillion operations per second. This technology enables the local execution of language models and generative AI, all while boasting an impressive 26-hour battery life.
The integration of Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC enhances these devices, providing transformative features such as Recall that empower users to create and work more efficiently. Everyday AI applications expand the potential of HP's latest PCs, allowing for improved communication and collaboration through gesture, facial expression, and voice interaction capabilities. Additionally, users will benefit from AI-driven real-time coaching to enhance presentation skills during virtual meetings, and powerful AI-enabled software that simplifies photo, audio, and video editing.
“In this transformative AI era, exceptional devices are defined not just by specifications, but by our ability to foster meaningful, breakthrough experiences,” stated Alex Cho, president of personal systems at HP. He emphasized that we are on the cusp of a new decade in personal computing, where AI fosters a more personalized and creative experience for users in both professional and personal settings.
HP's latest AI PCs push beyond traditional boundaries by enabling local AI processing for optimized performance, efficiency, and privacy. The sleek designs of the HP OmniBook X and HP EliteBook Ultra are tailored for tech-savvy professionals seeking mobility without compromising on power.
Highlights of the new AI PCs include:
- Sleek and Versatile: The world’s thinnest next-gen AI PCs combine style with productivity, showcasing HP’s AI Helix Logo, which symbolizes optimized performance and security. The EliteBook Ultra features a durable blue finish with a smudge-resistant Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating.
- Lightning-Fast Responsiveness: Experience superior performance without sacrificing portability—open large files nearly twice as fast and enjoy up to 12 hours of Microsoft Teams calls or 22 hours of Netflix streaming.
- Responsibly Crafted: Made from 50% recycled aluminum and featuring 100% sustainably sourced packaging materials, these devices reflect HP's commitment to sustainability, with certifications including EPEAT Climate+ Gold and Energy Star.
As AI tools increasingly become integral to work, with 60% of freelancers already utilizing them, HP's new devices are designed for optimal productivity. Key features include:
- Authentic Collaboration: The Poly Camera Pro enhances virtual interactions using AI to improve functions such as Spotlight, Background Blur & Replace, and Auto Framing.
- Optimization: HP AI Companion optimizes device performance and brings essential AI tools directly to the PC for increased productivity.
- Enhanced Security: The HP EliteBook Ultra incorporates advanced security measures, including Wolf Pro Security and Microsoft Secured-Core capabilities, to protect against both new and known threats.
