Following the earnings report, Kuaishou’s CEO Cheng Yixiao and CFO Jin Bing held a conference call to highlight key points and answer analysts' questions. Notably, one analyst inquired about the company's advancements in artificial intelligence and potential large model products for the short video sector. Cheng revealed that Kuaishou has formed a research and development team focused on large models, leveraging previous work in AI-generated content (AIGC) and language models to enhance their development and training. He pointed out that the current model is still in training, highlighting the long-term potential of the ongoing AI revolution.
Cheng also elaborated on AI's future applications in short videos, which Kuaishou is proactively exploring. For instance, improved search capabilities similar to ChatGPT could enhance user experience through expanded search functionalities and better content generation. Furthermore, AIGC can facilitate the creation of graphics and videos, reducing barriers for aspiring entrepreneurs while enhancing the quality and variety of their creations. Applications of AIGC range from script development and e-commerce copywriting to AI-generated special effects. Finally, AI can optimize content promotion and recommendations, improving matching algorithms and maximizing the return on investment for short video and live content.
Kuaishou is confident that short video platforms can greatly benefit from advancements in AI technology. The company is dedicated to efficiently allocating resources to develop and train large language models while seeking opportunities to integrate these innovations across various business scenarios.
