Meta AI Expands to 6 Countries: Discover the New Launch in Brazil, the UK, and More!

Meta is expanding its AI chatbot, Meta AI, to six new countries today: Brazil, the U.K., the Philippines, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Paraguay. This announcement was made by Mark Zuckerberg via his WhatsApp channel. The company plans to gradually introduce Meta AI to even more regions, including the Middle East, eventually making it accessible in 43 countries and supporting over a dozen languages.

The upcoming rollout will include countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Yemen. By the end of this expansion, Meta AI will also support additional languages including Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese.

You can access the AI assistant across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and the Meta.ai website. During last month's Meta Connect event, Zuckerberg revealed that Meta AI boasts nearly 500 million users worldwide and is on track to become the most popular assistant globally by year-end.

Meta’s CFO, Susan Li, highlighted in the Q2 2024 call that India represents Meta AI's largest market, primarily due to WhatsApp's substantial user base, which exceeds 500 million in the country.

In addition, Meta recently enriched its AI capabilities, introducing features such as new celebrity voices and lip-synced translations. The company also expanded its generative AI-powered “Imagine” feature across Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, allowing users to create images through natural language prompts. Moreover, Meta AI can now analyze your photos, providing insights and even editing options.
