After successfully introducing calendar apps earlier this year, Notion is set to revolutionize email management with a fully customizable app launching in early 2025. The new Mail app will enable users to design their inbox by distilling email functionality into customizable views, layouts, and actions. Leveraging Notion AI, users can automatically organize, archive, or draft emails based on prompts. The AI will also facilitate meeting scheduling through integration with Notion's Calendar app and assist in crafting personalized emails using one-click snippets.
Notion's Mail app is influenced by Skiff, the secure email service acquired earlier this year. On launch, it will integrate seamlessly with Google and Gmail accounts and will be accessible on both iPhone and Android devices. The app is currently in preview, with a waitlist available for those interested in trying it out.
Additionally, Notion has launched a new Forms tool for collecting responses, similar to Google Forms. The platform is also enhancing customization options and rolling out automations to notify users via Gmail. Notion's marketplace has been updated, allowing users to buy and sell Notion templates.
As noted by industry experts, Notion aims to become the quintessential productivity app that companies rely on for all their tasks. With the addition of email management, the next logical step may be the introduction of a presentation app.
