OpenAI Enhances GPT Store: New Ratings and Expanded Builder Profiles Update

A little over a month after OpenAI launched its highly anticipated GPT Store, which allows third-party users to create and share custom chatbots, the company is enhancing the marketplace with new features, including user ratings and expanded builder profile information.

However, the core concept of the store—sharing revenue with GPT creators based on usage—remains unfulfilled.

User Ratings and Feedback

OpenAI recently announced updates to the GPT Store via X (formerly Twitter), showcasing an animated GIF that illustrates how users can rate third-party GPTs. This is accessible through a dropdown menu located beneath the GPT’s name, featuring a new option labeled "Send feedback."

Upon selecting this option, users are presented with an interactive pop-up that allows them to provide a star rating (1 to 5) and send an optional private email to the GPT’s creator. Users can also choose whether to include their email address with their feedback.

Enhanced Builder Profiles

In addition to user ratings, GPT Builders can now enrich their profiles with additional information. When users click on a builder’s name, they will see links to their LinkedIn page, X account, and website. The profile also displays the builder’s average rating, total number of ratings, and the overall count of sessions initiated with that GPT.

These updates follow a peculiar issue earlier this week, where a ChatGPT update caused the chatbot to generate incoherent responses, affecting numerous users.
