The findings are promising for generative AI companies like Adobe, which provides its standalone Firefly text-to-image model and a range of AI features within its Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
A striking 82% of respondents believe generative AI enhances their creativity and simplifies their daily tasks. Among those who use the technology, 41% engage with it on a daily basis.
The survey also highlights the diverse applications of generative AI:
- 81% for personal projects
- 30% for work
- 17% for school
When it comes to specific tasks, users reported:
- 64% for research and brainstorming
- 44% for drafting written content
- 36% for creating visuals or presentations
Additionally, the study examines consumer expectations for generative AI in shopping. Notably, 41% of Americans expect brands to integrate generative AI to enhance customer service, with 58% acknowledging improved online shopping experiences thanks to this technology.
Generative AI is being utilized in e-commerce to streamline price comparisons, personalize shopping recommendations, and enhance customer support.
Despite the growing acceptance and benefits of generative AI, a prevailing caution remains: 72% of respondents feel that while this technology is impressive, it will never fully replicate human creativity.
