Picsart Unveils AI-Driven Toolkit for Creating Videos, Backgrounds, GIFs, and More

Picsart, the photo-editing startup backed by SoftBank, is unveiling a new suite of AI-driven tools tailored for businesses and individuals. This innovative collection, named Picsart Ignite, features 20 unique tools designed to streamline the creation of ads, social media posts, logos, and various other visual content.

The suite encompasses tools that facilitate the generation of videos, images, GIFs, logos, backgrounds, QR codes, and stickers. Among these is the novel “AI Expand” feature, which enhances images by adding extra details using AI prompts. Additionally, the “AI Object Remove in Video” feature allows users to effortlessly eliminate unwanted elements, ensuring a distraction-free viewing experience.

Another exciting addition is the “AI Style Transfer” feature, which enables users to apply distinct artistic styles to their visuals. For professional needs, the “AI Avatar” tool generates realistic avatars suitable for business portraits. If you're looking for fun alternatives, the “AI Avatar – For Couples and Pets” tool allows you to transform yourself and your partner into superheroes, or turn your cat into a member of royalty.

These new features build upon Picsart's existing suite of AI tools, which includes AI Writer, AI Replace, and the popular AI Image Generator, responsible for producing over 2 million images daily.

Earlier this year, Canva introduced its own suite of AI-driven tools to simplify content creation, while this week, Figma has added three generative AI features to its FigJam whiteboard tool.

In recent months, Picsart has been leveraging the generative AI trend. In January, the company released “SketchAI,” an app that transforms photos and drawings into digital art. Users can sketch images or upload existing ones to apply various artistic styles. The app provides five free creations, with unlimited options available via a subscription ranging from $5.99 weekly to $69.99 annually.

While Picsart has established itself as a leader in digital creation tools, the company is increasingly prioritizing social collaboration. In May, Picsart launched in-app communities called “Spaces,” which focus on specific topics and interests, allowing users to connect and create around their passions.
