Pipedrive Unveils AI-Enhanced Pulse Feature for Its Sales CRM

As Salesforce enhances its AI features and shifts its focus towards agents, smaller CRM providers like Pipedrive are evolving their offerings to attract and retain users through innovative AI solutions.

Pipedrive, a decade-old CRM platform based in New York with 100,000 small business clients globally, recently unveiled its beta version of Pipedrive Pulse, a cutting-edge AI tool for lead sorting and scoring.

This AI-driven feature automatically identifies and highlights high-potential leads, enabling sales professionals to close deals more efficiently and accurately. Pipedrive Pulse simplifies lead management through an easy-to-use interface, allowing users to swiftly take meaningful actions, such as sending auto-generated emails to leads and prospective clients. The tool organizes recommended actions, leads, and ongoing deals into a prioritized queue, ensuring users can track their progress.

CEO Dominic Allon stated in a recent video interview, “We’ve evolved from a system of record to a trusted advisor. AI helps our users understand their next best action.” Currently in beta testing and available via a waitlist, Pipedrive has yet to announce a full release date or pricing for Pulse.

A key aim of Pipedrive Pulse is to save time through intelligent data sorting. Allon emphasized, “Salespeople need support to allocate more time to crucial tasks.” The tool is designed to highlight the most valuable and engaged leads, guiding sales teams to focus their efforts efficiently while also suggesting actionable next steps.

Allon provided a hypothetical scenario: “If you start your Monday with 42 leads, Pulse prioritizes them based on potential, creating a heat map of opportunity.” Users can view auto-generated email drafts and take one-click actions to gather additional contact information. Leads can seamlessly enter Pipedrive’s deal management pipeline, consolidating essential resources in one location.

Regarding technology, Allon mentioned the use of XGBoost, a widely recognized open-source machine learning library. He added, “We also utilize Copilot for our developers, but LLMs like GPT are not suitable for this specific application.” This choice reflects Pipedrive’s commitment to leveraging tailored technologies for their CRM solutions rather than generic AI tools.

The development of Pulse incorporated customer feedback to address common challenges faced by sales professionals. Allon remarked, “While others merely added AI to their products, we focused on creating genuine value. Our AI breakthrough occurred this spring when we launched features that truly assist our customers.”

With the introduction of Pipedrive Pulse, the company strengthens its AI offerings and solidifies its position as a leader in sales technology innovation. Allon concluded, “By using AI to rank leads based on engagement scores, we meet a critical need.” For small and medium-sized businesses, Pipedrive Pulse marks a significant advancement in AI-enhanced sales management.
