Huawei has ushered in a new era of artificial intelligence, significantly influenced by technologies like ChatGPT. The anticipated surge in computing power—expected to increase by 500 times—has prompted fierce competition among major tech companies vying for leadership in the AI large model technology sector.

At the 2023 APEC Business Leaders Forum in China, Huawei's rotating chairman, Hu Houkun, remarked on this transformative shift. He forecasted that the advanced AI, exemplified by ChatGPT, will revolutionize both personal and industrial applications. With the demand for processing power escalating, he projected a tenfold increase in general computing capacity by 2030, alongside a remarkable 500-fold growth in AI computing capacity.

To facilitate this evolution, Huawei plans to establish numerous data centers and AI computing hubs while tackling the challenge of managing energy consumption to ensure sustainable, low-carbon development.

On July 7, 2023, Huawei will host its Cloud Developer Conference, where it is anticipated to unveil a significant AI model technology similar to ChatGPT, likely called Pangu Chat. Recent reports suggest Huawei has filed multiple trademark applications linked to this innovation. According to sources, the company submitted two trademark registration applications for "HUAWEINETGPT," classified under scientific instruments and web services, which are currently pending. Moreover, Huawei has already registered several trademarks for "Pangu" and "PANGU."
