On June 12, Huawei Cloud announced that its Pangu large language model achieved a 4+ rating in evaluations by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), positioning it as one of the first companies in China to attain this recognition.
The Pangu model excels in development across three key areas: general capabilities, specialized scenario capabilities, and application maturity. In terms of general capabilities, it stands out with exceptional performance in code interpretation, conversion, and optimization. For specialized scenarios, Pangu supports diverse applications such as website creation, mobile app development, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence projects.
Regarding application maturity, Pangu demonstrates superior reasoning performance, particularly in data classification, compliance with data security standards, inference accuracy, model service traceability, risk management, and maintainability.
The Pangu model is available for both public cloud usage and private deployment, already being utilized in sectors like finance, manufacturing, transportation, education, and the internet. The current version, Pangu 3.0, is tailored for industry needs and includes models such as Pangu NLP, Pangu CV, Pangu Multimodal, Pangu Predictive, and Pangu Scientific Computing.
From June 21-23, Huawei will host the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC 2024) in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, where Pangu 5.0 and HarmonyOS NEXT (Horizon version) will be unveiled. Pangu 5.0 targets industry applications, focusing on solving real-world challenges faced by clients.
