‘Water Intelligence’ Startup Wint Secures $35M Funding to Help Businesses Detect and Prevent Leaks

Wint, a pioneering "water intelligence" company harnessing AI to detect and prevent leaks, has successfully secured $35 million in its Series C funding round.

Founded in Israel in 2011, Wint offers a comprehensive water management solution that combines AI-driven software with connected hardware. This innovative system notifies users of potential leaks and can be configured to automatically shut off the water supply at the leak's source. The company's clientele spans a diverse range of industries, including facility managers, construction firms, data centers, and enterprises eager to enhance their carbon emissions reporting with reliable data.

Wint boasts an impressive lineup of clients, including industry giants such as Microsoft, Google, Mastercard, HP, and Dell.

Last year, Wint raised $15 million in a Series B round led by Insight Partners, a prominent New York-based investor known for backing companies like Twitter, Tumblr, and Shopify. Insight Partners has returned to co-lead the Series C round alongside Czech climate tech fund Inven Capital, with Taronga Ventures also contributing to this funding effort.

This funding round arrives at a critical time, as global concerns about water scarcity intensify—a pressing issue that numerous startups are working to address. "We’re thrilled to complete this funding round as water scarcity and climate change emerge as some of humanity’s most significant challenges. The financial impact of water leak damage on buildings has reached unsustainable levels for insurers, property owners, developers, and contractors," stated Wint CEO Alon Geva in a press release.
