Meizu Launches New Mid-Range AI Smartphone: Sleek Flat Screen Design and Massive Battery Now Available

Meizu is actively developing a new mid-range AI smartphone that will feature a flat screen design and a large battery to enhance user experience. This move signifies Meizu's commitment to remain competitive in the smartphone market while transitioning into the AI space.

In February of this year, Meizu announced it would halt traditional smartphone projects to focus on AI technology. However, recent reports suggest they have not completely abandoned the smartphone market. According to Digital Chat Station, Meizu is working on an AI terminal powered by a mid-range Snapdragon processor, promising excellent performance, a flat screen, a large battery, and fast charging capabilities. Previously, Meizu referred to the Meizu 21 Pro as the "first open AI terminal."

Despite challenges such as extended replacement cycles in the global smartphone market, limited innovation opportunities for consumers, and intensified industry competition, Meizu claims it is prepared to fully embrace the AI transition and adapt to market changes.

Whether the new device will incorporate Qualcomm's latest processors remains to be seen. Qualcomm is set to hold a product launch event soon, where it is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processors. It is uncertain if Meizu will adopt these new processors for their upcoming smartphone.

While Meizu has announced an end to traditional smartphone projects, anticipation for future phone products remains high among consumers, especially as the Meizu 21 Pro launch approaches.
