Mojawa’s New Headphones Deliver Real-Time Fitness Feedback with AI and Haptic Technology

Mojawa’s HaptiFit Terra bone conduction headphones redefine fitness tracking by merging music with AI-driven, real-time workout guidance and haptic feedback. Targeting runners, cyclists, and swimmers, these innovative headphones were unveiled at CES 2024 and are available for preorder at $200, with a retail price set to rise to $300 upon wider availability in March 2024.

The design of the HaptiFit Terra is familiar to users of bone conduction headphones, featuring a neckband shape and over-the-ear hooks typical of this category. With an impressive IP68 rating, they are fully dustproof and waterproof.

Mojawa has enhanced the HaptiFit Terra with several standout features: the frame is crafted from lightweight titanium alloy, while the panels that cover the bone conduction transducers also serve as capacitive and pressure-sensitive controls that light up. This illumination not only enhances safety during low-light workouts but also responds to elevated heart rates.

Users can engage with the controls by both tapping and pressing them. The integrated 3D sensors detect pressure levels, providing haptic feedback that mimics a physical button click, akin to the trackpads found on Apple laptops. Beyond standard playback controls, users can select activity types, receive activity statistics, adjust volume, and activate lighting. Workouts can be tracked and initiated using the Mojawa app.

The Mojawa app generates complete workout plans, while the headphones provide real-time updates on heart rate, pace, step count, calories burned, lap counts, and swimming distances through a mix of audio cues and haptic feedback, enabling you to adapt your pace and technique to achieve your fitness goals.

Post-workout, you can review your statistics and share them with friends and trainers. Mojawa plans to introduce an online competition feature later in 2024 for an added competitive edge.

For music enthusiasts, runners, and cyclists, the headphones support Bluetooth connectivity, and they also have 32GB of built-in storage, which allows you to upload a significant amount of music and playlists directly to the headphones—ideal for moments when bringing your phone isn't feasible, such as during swims.

With a battery life of up to eight hours on a single charge, the HaptiFit Terra can be fully recharged in just one hour using the included magnetic induction cable. Stay connected and enhance your workouts with this innovative audio technology designed for fitness enthusiasts.
