Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 750G, a 5G-enabled processor tailored for mid-range smartphones, distinguishing it from the higher-tier Snapdragon 765G. A standout feature of the Snapdragon 750G is its enhanced 4 TOPS (trillion operations per second) AI system, which provides advanced echo cancellation and background vocal noise suppression for gaming, calls, and voice assistants. This technology effectively filters out disruptive sounds like construction, children playing, or barking dogs, ensuring that listeners hear your voice clearly.
The Snapdragon 750G delivers a 20% CPU and a 10% GPU performance boost over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 730G, thanks to the new Adreno 619 GPU and Kryo 750 CPU. It supports both mmWave and sub-6 GHz 5G, along with TDD, FDD, dynamic spectrum sharing, and multi-SIM capabilities. This means that the chip can access 5G networks in most parts of the world, achieving speeds of up to approximately 3.7 Gbps.
Additionally, the Snapdragon 750G supports HDR and Qualcomm's low-latency "Elite Gaming" features. It also offers optional WiFi 6, dual-frequency GNSS, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ technology, allowing devices to recharge to 50% in just 15 minutes. Positioned below the Snapdragon 765G, which powers devices like the $500 OnePlus Nord and the $600 LG Velvet 5G, the Snapdragon 750G is expected to appear in smartphones priced at or below these models by the end of 2020.
