Recently, authorized Samsung experience stores announced that certain AI features of the Galaxy S24 series will start requiring payment from July 30, 2024. Users who purchase the Galaxy S24 can log into WPS before this date to enjoy a 180-day free trial of these AI services. After July 30, the subscription rates will be 118 yuan per year, 148 yuan for 15 months, or 15 yuan for a monthly service.

The Galaxy S24 series boasts a range of advanced AI capabilities, including features for input, translation, recording, note-taking, and camera functionalities, all designed to enhance user convenience and efficiency. Unlike the international versions, the AI features in the Galaxy S24 series are primarily supported by domestic companies, such as Baidu. By integrating Baidu's Wenxin large model, Galaxy AI provides services such as voice calling, translation, intelligent summarization, and formatting. Additionally, the S24 series introduces an innovative "Circle & Search" feature, allowing users to quickly obtain relevant search results with simple gestures, like drawing a circle or line.

This adjustment in pricing will not affect existing partnerships with companies like Meitu and Baidu, nor the other features that do not rely on third-party applications. Currently, Samsung and WPS have not released further details regarding this change.
