AMD Unveils Epyc 4004 Series Processors for Enterprise Solutions

AMD EPYC 4004 Series Processors Now Available for Enterprises

Advanced Micro Devices has announced the launch of its new AMD EPYC 4004 Series processors, tailored for enterprise environments. These processors enhance the existing AMD EPYC server CPU lineup, providing cost-effective solutions that offer enterprise-class features and top-tier performance for small to medium-sized businesses and IT service providers.

The AMD EPYC 4004 Series CPUs are designed for budget-conscious buyers who require reliable performance, scalability, and modern security features, all powered by the efficient Zen 4 architecture. When compared to the Intel Xeon E-2488 CPU, servers equipped with a single AMD EPYC 4564P CPU achieve 1.8 times greater performance per CPU dollar. “Historically, small to medium businesses have had to compromise on IT solutions with insufficient hardware,” said John Morris, Corporate Vice President of AMD's enterprise and HPC business group. “The AMD EPYC 4004 Series processors leverage the same technologies that drive the world's most demanding data centers, delivered at an optimized acquisition cost for businesses looking to enhance outcomes.”

These processors excel in delivering robust, general-purpose computing within single-socket configurations, making them ideal for cost-sensitive rack-scale, multi-node, and tower setups.

Lenovo's VP for server, storage, and software-defined solutions, Kamran Amini, expressed excitement about the AMD EPYC 4004 CPUs: “This introduction broadens the EPYC processor lineup, addressing a wider market with high-performance yet affordable capabilities. The new AMD EPYC 4004 Series CPUs are set to meet the diverse needs of server customers, providing excellent price-performance value and efficiency for reliable, secure infrastructure.”

Key partners supporting the AMD EPYC 4004 Series include Altos, ASRock Rack, Gigabyte, Lenovo, MSI, New Egg, OVHcloud, Supermicro, and Tyan.
