Baidu to Launch New AI Chat Software "Wanhua" Similar to ChatGPT
Baidu is preparing to unveil a new AI chat software named "Wanhua," which shares similarities with ChatGPT, as reported by Tech Planet. This innovative software will enable personalized conversational interactions. Baidu's affiliate, Beijing Baidu Network Technology Co., Ltd., has already applied for copyright registration for Wanhua.
During the Baidu Wenxiang Conference in May, Li Xiaowan, general manager of Baidu's information distribution platform, announced the forthcoming AI product. Although Baidu has confirmed the patent application, specific details about Wanhua's functionalities remain under wraps.
Baidu is ramping up its efforts in artificial intelligence. Over the past year, the company launched the Wenxin large AI model and developed the PaddlePaddle deep learning platform. Additionally, they introduced the generative AI product "Wenxin Yiyan," which they aim to integrate with various mainstream services.
The company is actively exploring AI chat applications. Earlier this year, Baidu launched an AI virtual chat community app called "Xiaokang Planet." Moreover, they are expanding into smart watch technology, aiming to incorporate AI chat and lifestyle assistant features.
This trend is reflected across China, where many major companies are either launching AI products or planning to develop large AI models, showcasing the rapid growth of the industry.
