China's Leading Financial Model Sets International IEEE Standards for Global AI Model Development

The IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA) has recently approved the international standard P3826, titled "Standard for Technical Requirements for Large Language Models for Finance." Developed by MASHANG Consumer, this standard marks a significant milestone as China's first IEEE international technical standard in the financial language model sector, highlighting the country's leadership in establishing standards for financial large models. Its goal is to shape IEEE technical standards and guide global progress in large model technology.

To further this initiative, IEEE SA has formed a working group for financial large models, led by Professor Deng Weihong from the MASHANG Consumer Artificial Intelligence Research Institute. With a distinguished background in technology management, Professor Deng has previously served as a professor and doctoral advisor at a major university. He is also recognized as a Young Chang Jiang Scholar and a New Century Excellent Talent by the Ministry of Education. His leadership extends to over 30 research projects, including significant national initiatives, and he has chaired prominent international conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, AAAI, and ICAI.

Professor Deng has authored more than 180 papers in respected journals and conferences, amassing over 17,000 citations. He ranks among the top 2% of global scientists, earning recognition as a highly cited scholar from esteemed institutions like Stanford and Elsevier.
