Google testers can now explore an exciting new Duet AI feature in Google Workspace. A new sidebar in Google Sheets allows users to describe their tasks, enabling Duet AI to generate custom templates to kickstart their projects.

This feature is particularly beneficial for complex organization and tracking tasks, such as product roadmaps, company retreats, and team budgets. If it performs as expected, it has the potential to save users a significant amount of time. Currently, this feature is available in Workspace Labs.

Since introducing Duet for Workspace at its I/O conference last month, Google has rapidly enhanced its AI capabilities. In the web version of Google Docs, users can enter prompts for Duet to generate relevant text and automatically insert smart chips. In Gmail, the AI can draft emails and provide contextual reply suggestions on both web and mobile platforms. Additionally, in Google Slides, users can create images from text prompts.

Looking ahead, Google plans to introduce more generative AI features in Workspace Labs over the coming months. Moreover, Google’s Bard AI now allows users to export generated data directly to Sheets for easy organization and modification.
