According to Runway's latest blog post, they will gradually roll out this free tool starting today. All Runway users can try out "Act-One," but only those with sufficient credits and who have previously used the Gen-3 Alpha model will be able to access its full capabilities.

The Gen-3 Alpha model boasts advanced AI video generation capabilities, enabling users to create new content from text descriptions, images, or existing videos. Users can describe scenes, upload static images or videos, and even combine these elements. The Gen-3 Alpha model synthesizes this information to generate new video scenes that meet user specifications.

While the Act-One feature is currently available to a select group of users, the AI video creator community has already begun to celebrate this innovation. User Allen T. enthusiastically commented on his X social media account, stating, "This is truly a game changer!"

Recently, Runway has also made significant strides within the Hollywood film production industry, announcing a partnership with film production company Lionsgate last month. This collaboration aims to develop customized AI video generation models based on Lionsgate's extensive catalog of over 20,000 films.
