YouTube Music is introducing two exciting new features, one of which focuses on AI. Users can now create custom playlist art directly within the YouTube Music app, eliminating the need for album cover compilations or personal image uploads. To design your playlist cover, simply click the edit button for your playlist, then select the existing main image. This will open a variety of categories like nature, humor, and animals, each generating a random selection of visuals. Browse through the options to find a design you love, and save it as your new playlist cover photo.
The second feature, called Speed Dial, provides quick access to your recent listens, including specific artists and playlists. This format resembles the top of Spotify's homepage but offers a wider range of options.
These updates reflect YouTube Music's ongoing efforts to compete with more established streaming services, following recent enhancements like a comments section and timed lyrics for better song engagement.
