D-Link Enhances Home Security Cameras Ahead of CES
As CES approaches, D-Link has unveiled exciting new features for its home security cameras. The latest enhancements enable devices to detect people and breaking glass, utilizing AI technology that operates on the edge. This innovative approach provides faster and more accurate results compared to traditional cloud-based AI.
D-Link is also introducing two new camera models. The outdoor camera, priced at $119.99, comes equipped with a spotlight and siren, which activate upon motion detection. Attendees can preview the outdoor model at CES, but it won't be available until the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, the indoor camera ($99.99) is set to release in the second quarter of 2024 and features 360-degree panning and motion tracking capabilities. Both models include two-way audio for enhanced communication.
Customers will have various storage options to choose from. The cameras support ONVIF Profile S, enabling custom storage and streaming to personal NAS devices. Additionally, D-Link is expanding built-in microSD storage options, now offering up to 256 GB, alongside existing free and paid cloud storage plans. All storage solutions are compatible with the mydlink app, allowing users to access live and recorded video effortlessly.
