Grammarly Enhances Writing with AI: Beyond Proofreading Solutions

Grammarly has officially entered the generative AI space with the introduction of GrammarlyGo, a new set of auto-composition features designed to enhance its AI proofreading software. As more companies integrate generative AI tools like the ChatGPT API into their products, GrammarlyGo aims to stay ahead by using contextual elements—such as voice, style, and writing purpose—to tailor its responses.

GrammarlyGo can generate email replies, shorten text, rewrite content for tone and clarity, and brainstorm ideas, all while maintaining your brand's voice and context. Notably, since Grammarly’s desktop application can be accessed in any text field on your computer, it offers a more seamless experience compared to competitors like Notion or Gmail’s Smart Compose, which require switching between apps.

The company emphasizes the necessity of this feature, stating that many individuals struggle with effective communication, which can hinder business productivity. "GrammarlyGo will quickly generate highly relevant text while considering personal voice, brand style, context, and intent, ultimately saving time for both individuals and businesses," the company explained.

GrammarlyGo will be available at no additional cost within existing Grammarly services, including Premium, Business, Education, and Developer plans, as well as free plans in select markets. The beta version of GrammarlyGo is set to roll out in April.
