Hitachi is embarking on an ambitious initiative to train 50,000 employees by 2027, focusing on the application of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to innovate new services. This program aims to upskill around 20% of its 270,000-strong workforce. Employees from key departments, including information technology (IT) and railway services, will receive targeted training. The curriculum will encompass vital elements of generative AI, such as product and service integration, effective data collection methods, and the development of large language models.
