Microsoft Unveils Redesigned Copilot for Enhanced Web and Mobile Experience

One year after fully adopting generative AI chatbots, Microsoft is giving Copilot a fresh redesign. The revamped Copilot features a streamlined interface on both web and mobile platforms, offering a cleaner look and feel for its responses. Users will now see a carousel of suggested prompts, showcasing the capabilities of the chatbot.

Since launching AI-powered Bing Chat, Microsoft reports that users have engaged in 5 billion chats and generated an equal number of images across its Copilot experiences. The company notes that Copilot, now encompassing all its chatbot offerings with "Bing Chat" being phased out, has contributed to an increase in Bing and Edge's market share, although perhaps not as significantly as anticipated.

Additionally, Copilot has enhanced its image-editing and creation features. Users can now edit generated images directly within the chatbot, with options to transform images into pixel art or blur backgrounds. For Copilot Pro subscribers, image resizing between landscape and square formats is available, along with the ability to regenerate images without leaving the chat. Soon, Microsoft will also introduce Designer GPT within Copilot, providing users with an immersive canvas to visualize their ideas.
