Reebok Leverages AI to Transform Images into Innovative Digital Sneaker Designs

Reebok has unveiled an innovative, AI-powered fashion experience on Instagram, inviting users to design their own digital sneakers. Dubbed Reebok Impact, this engaging feature transforms user photos into custom sneaker designs. By sending a direct message to Reebok Impact on Instagram, users can watch as the AI crafts a unique digital sneaker, showcasing their chosen image prominently on the side.

Participants can select from three iconic Reebok models: the Reebok Pump, Classic Leather, or Club C, with customizable color options and image styles. The initial experience is complimentary for up to four sneaker creations, after which users have the option to purchase the digital files. These files are compatible with popular 3D creation platforms, such as Unreal Editor, enabling users to adorn their avatars with bespoke sneakers in digital worlds and video games, including the forthcoming battle royale title based on "Ready Player One."

A unique touch is added with the original photo being stored within the sole of the sneaker, symbolizing the impact of memories on one's soul. This pioneering experience was developed in collaboration with Futureverse, a company specializing in metaverse technology. Their partnership began last December, aiming to create engaging AI-powered experiences that bridge the gap between gaming and fashion.
