During today’s YouTube event, CEO Neal Mohan announced that the platform is testing a groundbreaking AI-powered feature in YouTube Studio designed to streamline the brainstorming process for content creators. This innovative tool, known as “AI Insights for Creators,” generates video topic suggestions based on viewer preferences and current trends.
Mohan highlighted travel creator Mahna Ghafori as a case study, noting that her audience is particularly interested in discovering new trip ideas. The AI tool proposed a video focused on the history of Portugal and suggested popular local attractions for her subscribers to explore.
“The process of developing a video concept can be lengthy and often feels like a game of trial and error until the video is published and viewer feedback comes in,” Mohan explained. “This new insight acts as a catalyst in the creator’s workflow. With this assistance, Mahna can concentrate on crafting the video in her unique style.”
Currently, this feature is being trialed with select content creators. Initial feedback from YouTube's tests indicates that over 70% of participants found “AI Insights” beneficial for inspiration. The official launch of this feature is anticipated in YouTube Studio next year.
