Apple Partners with OpenAI: ChatGPT to Be Integrated into iOS 18 Operating System

According to insider sources, tech giant Apple is in the final stages of contract negotiations with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT features into the iPhone. If an agreement is reached, this functionality is expected to be included in the upcoming iOS 18 software update. Additionally, Apple is exploring the possibility of integrating Google's Gemini chatbot, although progress on this front has been slow.

A year ago, Apple restricted the use of ChatGPT due to concerns over sensitive data leaks. However, recent reports indicate that Apple is ramping up its efforts to build its artificial intelligence (AI) division. As of April 30, Cointelegraph reported that Apple is actively hiring experts from Google to form a dedicated AI and machine learning team. The company has also acquired two AI startups in Zurich, Switzerland, and has established a laboratory there named “Vision Lab.”

During the May 11 launch event, Apple showcased a 3D design software called Octane, powered by Render Network, highlighting the capabilities of its latest iPad with the M4 chip. Following the event, Render Token (RNDR) surged by 11%. Over the past week, it has been one of the fastest-growing AI tokens, with an 18% increase. In contrast, Fetch.ai (FET) and SingularityNET (AGIX) saw declines of 0.77% and 0.15%, respectively, during the same period.
