In a recent internal awards ceremony, Baidu's founder and CEO, Li Yanhong, praised the Wenxin Yiyan model and its associated AI technologies, emphasizing Baidu's commitment to pioneering advancements in this field.
Li noted that since the initial release of Wenxin Yiyan on March 16 of last year, the model has undergone iterations to versions 3.5 and 4.0, maintaining its leadership in China’s large language model sector. Currently, nearly 100,000 enterprises are leveraging Baidu's AI capabilities through this model, generating 10% of major search traffic. Moreover, 2.5 million users utilize Baidu Wenku's AI services daily.
Discussing future plans, Li highlighted Baidu's focus on reducing the costs and technical barriers of large models to attract more developers into its AI ecosystem. He believes this will further drive innovation and growth in Baidu's artificial intelligence efforts.
Li also mentioned the "Roborunner" autonomous driving project, revealing that its automation rate has significantly improved, with large-scale commercial applications on the horizon. This represents a substantial advancement for Baidu in the autonomous driving technology arena and could further enhance the growth of related industries.
