Google has recently announced the gradual rollout of its Gemini Live service to all Android users, a feature that was previously exclusive to Advanced subscribers. According to tech media outlet 9to5Google, Gemini Live enhances users’ interactions with virtual assistants, providing a more natural and seamless conversational experience.
Gemini Live made its debut during the launch event for the Pixel 9 series, and it aims to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT Advanced Voice mode. The service utilizes an advanced voice engine, enabling more coherent, emotional, and authentic multi-turn conversations.
Currently, all English-speaking Android users can access Gemini Live and enjoy real-time interactions with their virtual assistants. However, Gemini is not yet available on iOS, meaning iPhone users will have to wait to experience this innovative feature.
