Get Ready: Your iPhone 16 Could Receive Its First Apple Intelligence Features This Month

The iPhone 16 has yet to incorporate Apple Intelligence, but this is set to change with the upcoming release of iOS 18.1 on October 28th. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, this update will introduce AI-powered notification summaries. While Gurman only mentions this specific feature, the iOS 18.1 beta also includes enhancements for Siri, which now better understands users who may stumble over their words. Additional updates feature new writing tools and a vibrant, rainbow-colored glowing edge graphic when invoking Siri on an iPhone or iPad.

Apple Intelligence will function on the iPhone 15 Pro and newer models, with beta access available for Macs and iPads that utilize Apple’s M1 chip and later. There are rumors that the next iPhone SE will also support this feature. However, some advanced Apple Intelligence capabilities, such as Siri managing tasks across various applications and contextualized use of your information, have not yet appeared in the betas. These features may not be available until March of next year. Other additions, such as Apple’s Image Playground and Genmoji, are expected to launch by December.
