New Features Unveiled for ChatGPT: Custom Models and Data Analysis Tools
As of May 30, ChatGPT's free users can now access exciting new features, including custom GPT models and data analysis tools. Previously available only to paying subscribers, these functionalities are now open to all users. OpenAI had promised to make its GPT-4o technology accessible to everyone, though paid users still enjoy the benefit of a fivefold capacity limit.
Before this update, features such as model selection, web responses, data analysis, chart creation, visual processing, file uploads, memory management, and custom GPT models were exclusive to paid members, including ChatGPT Plus, Teams, and Enterprise. It's important to note that if free users reach their message or conversation limit while using GPT-4o, the system will automatically revert to GPT-3.5.
While free users can experiment with custom GPT models, they are not yet able to create their own. However, OpenAI announced that creators of custom GPT models can participate in a revenue-sharing program that began in March.
Additionally, users can now connect their OneDrive and Google Drive data with ChatGPT, enhancing the data analysis experience and enabling the creation of customizable charts.
