iOS 18 Beta 4 Release: When Will Apple Intelligence Launch? Delayed or Coming Soon?

This week, Apple released the iOS 18 Beta 4 update. However, the much-anticipated Apple Intelligence features have yet to debut, leading to speculation about a possible delay in their release. According to a recent report by MacRumors, Apple still aims to roll out specific Apple Intelligence functionalities during the summer and plans to invite developers and users for testing soon.

Apple Intelligence is characterized by five core features: powerful, intuitive, comprehensive, personalized, and private. It integrates generative model technology into iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Key functionalities include:

1. Natural Language Understanding: Automatically prioritizes notifications, rearranges content, refines emails, summarizes notes, and generates images.

2. Global Content Analysis: Adjusts information across applications while ensuring maximum privacy; data is processed without collection.

3. Private Cloud Computing: Provides chip-level data protection and uses private cloud technology to ensure information security.

Although references to Apple Intelligence were removed from Apple’s June update page, the company has confirmed that this feature will be available in the iOS 18 beta this summer. Current reports indicate that Apple Intelligence is expected to launch by the end of August, initially supporting English and limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The introduction of Apple Intelligence marks Apple's significant entry into the AI realm. Its capabilities will extend beyond iPhones to include iPads and Macs. By combining powerful generative models with personalized contexts, it offers practical features for email, notes, Pages, and third-party applications, including rewriting, proofreading, and text summarization. Users will also be able to record, transcribe, and summarize audio within the Notes and Phone applications. During calls, if recording is enabled, participants will receive automatic notifications, and Apple Intelligence will generate call summaries afterward to help users recall key information.

It is important to note that while Apple plans to officially launch Apple Intelligence in September, some features will still be in preview mode, with full functionality anticipated by 2025.
