Samsung's upcoming One UI 7 is generating significant buzz as it signals the arrival of a new generation of software. According to renowned leaker Ice Universe, Samsung will begin recruiting participants for the Beta testing of One UI 7 next week. This new operating system, built on Android 15, is expected to deliver a range of notable improvements.
Enhanced Desktop Appearance
One UI 7 will revolutionize the traditional flat, monochromatic icon design by introducing a more vibrant and youthful aesthetic to resonate with modern users. Additionally, the system interface will offer two layout options: Classic and Bold. The Classic layout retains the familiar look, while the Bold layout enlarges app icons and widgets and removes text labels, resulting in a cleaner, more streamlined interface.
Improved System Interface
In terms of the system interface, One UI 7 will feature a revamped camera interface that optimizes single-handed operation. The new camera layout will reposition the function menu and mode settings lower down the screen, allowing users to easily manage settings while holding the device with one hand. Furthermore, the battery icon will be redesigned to display the remaining power horizontally, integrating the numerical percentage within the battery graphic for enhanced visual clarity.
New Real-Time Messaging Feature
One UI 7 will also introduce a dynamic real-time messaging feature, akin to iOS's Live Activities. Once activated, this function will display the latest app data on the lock screen, enabling users to stay updated with timely information. Currently, Samsung plans to kick off Beta testing next week in South Korea, with plans to expand to additional regions soon after.
These changes are still in the testing phase, and the final results will be confirmed upon completion of the Beta test.
