"Exciting New AI Tools Coming to Photoshop: Enhance Your Design Workflow"

Adobe has launched its annual Adobe Max conference, unveiling a range of new AI-powered features across its Creative Cloud applications. Highlights include significant enhancements in Photoshop, such as automatic background distraction removal and an upgraded Firefly generative AI model. Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro also received new features designed to streamline traditionally labor-intensive design processes.

One notable addition is the new "Distraction Removal" feature in the Remove Tool, which automatically identifies and removes common distractions, like people and cables, with a single click. This advancement eliminates the need for users to manually brush over objects, enhancing efficiency.

Photoshop users can now choose whether the Remove Tool utilizes generative AI, specifically Adobe's Firefly image model, a non-generative AI option, or an automatic setting that selects the best technology based on the image context. The updated Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Generate Similar, and Generate Background tools, powered by the latest Firefly Image 3 Model, are now available, offering improved photorealism and a better understanding of complex prompts. The web app version also features AI that automatically selects all objects within an image, simplifying the editing process.

In addition, Illustrator has introduced the "Objects on Path" feature, which allows users to attach, arrange, and move objects along any path, providing greater flexibility in design work. The Mockup tool for staging designs on 3D models is now widely accessible, and the Image Trace feature has been enhanced to produce sharper, more accurate vector outputs.

InDesign now includes the Generative Expand tool, enabling users to extend images for different layouts, while Premiere Pro has introduced the new Generative Extend feature through its Firefly AI Video Model, currently in beta. This model is expected to serve as the foundation for future enhancements across Adobe's Creative Cloud suite.
