Google to Launch Gemini Live in 40+ Languages Soon: What Users Can Expect

Gemini Live: Google's Conversational AI Expands Language Support

Gemini Live, Google’s AI chatbot designed for natural interaction, is set to support over 40 languages in the coming weeks. This generative AI virtual assistant aims to facilitate free-flowing conversations, making it an invaluable tool for brainstorming events, exploring new subjects, or practicing job interview questions with real-time feedback. While Google likens it to chatting with a friend, its practical applications may appeal to a broader audience.

One notable feature is the ability to chat in two languages on a single device, with plans for even more languages in the future. Multi-language support will also extend to Gemini’s integrations with other Google services, including Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and Utilities.

To set your preferred language(s), simply adjust the settings in the Android app. Navigate to Settings Google Assistant Languages and select your primary preference. You can add a second language through the “Add a language” option.

Currently, Gemini Live is available exclusively on Android devices, and Google has not announced plans to launch it on iPhone. This focus suggests that Google aims to enhance its mobile platform appeal.
