Magnit, a prominent staffing and talent provider based in Folsom, California, has introduced an innovative AI-powered Integrated Workforce Management Platform named “Maggi” (pronounced "Maggie"). This groundbreaking platform, said to be the first of its kind in the workforce management sector, aims to streamline hiring processes for seasonal and temporary jobs.
Maggi simplifies complexities by offering hiring managers and client firms a unified interface to access data, sourcing, and workforce management tools. "We wanted to infuse technology and automation to make managing contingent workforces easier," explained Vidhya Srinivasan, Magnit’s Chief Product & Marketing Officer, who previously held roles at ServiceNow and Blue Yonder.
Recognizing that hiring managers and suppliers often rely on manual processes, Magnit’s goal is to usher them into a new era of generative AI. While Maggi operates within a chatbot window, it excels beyond the capabilities of an average large language model.
Key Features of Magnit’s AI-Powered Platform
Central to Maggi's capabilities is OpenAI’s GPT-4, which integrates customer data, public sources, and curated industry insights. Maggi is constructed on three foundational elements: execution for daily tasks, proactive and reactive alerts, and strategic planning.
Execution: The platform fosters seamless collaboration among hiring managers, suppliers, and workers, enabling shared access to relevant talent data without unnecessary barriers. This functionality supports diverse workforce needs across various sectors, including blue-collar, white-collar, skilled, and unskilled labor.
Proactive Alerts and Planning: Maggi keeps users informed about local regulations and labor updates. "If there’s a new labor regulation impacting your contingent workforce, Maggi will notify you," Srinivasan noted. Furthermore, the platform automates workflows across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance, and more.
In terms of planning, users can utilize Magnit’s vast data resources along with AI/ML capabilities to align with client goals. For instance, if a client wishes to launch a program in a new region, Maggi can generate a tailored planning template.
Analytics and Insights: Magnit’s platform offers clients data-driven insights concerning pay rates, market trends, and candidate profiles, ensuring enhanced competitiveness and cost efficiency. "Maggi streamlines data gathering, eliminating the need to fill out multiple fields—it's all automated," Srinivasan added.
Focused on Results
Designed to achieve measurable outcomes efficiently, the platform includes a compliance framework that mitigates risks tied to payroll and hiring errors. It also enhances businesses' access to high-quality talent through various sourcing channels.
“Our objective is to address specific pain points in the hiring process. If Maggi doesn’t improve daily experiences, it won't be adopted," Srinivasan stated.
Pricing and Availability
Magnit is currently offering Maggi through an early adopter program, exploring potential pricing models. The AI platform is bundled with Magnit’s existing Integrated Workforce Management Platform.
